Why did it happen?

Why did it happen?

She was a good woman. Why did it happen to her? She was a good kid, why did it happen at all? We clearly don’t know the answer to everything. We can’t because the finite can never know the infinite.

Spiders have 8 eyes usually. Flies have multiple lenses around their huge globe 360 degrees vision. The mantis shrimp is one the most fascinating species that has advanced vision many times that of the fly.

Imagine having eyes all over your head. You now have a 360 degree view. Yet it is still an outward view. Now there is another eye – the dharma eye or the third eye. Countless of interesting articles and research on these 2 definitions alone. This 3rd eye/dharma eye looks not only outward but also inwardly. It’s like a crystal or multiway prism that reflects, refracts and channels light to its many spectral colours and back into its pure light form again.

The key here is – inward looking. For in inward looking, one sees the universe within is a mere reflection of the external universe.

Like it or not, we and all events happening from the smallest and insignificant to the catastrophic and disastrous are interconnected. We are mere parts of a larger whole. And the parts cannot understand most times the bigger picture or at best can only glimpse a fraction of the totality. Trusting the whole to heal, recycle and rejuvenate itself is necessary and inevitable.

Trust, surrender and let go into the moment. Every moment of the here and now – relax and flow with it in full awareness and alertness. Be the space that fills, permeates and encompass all events. See the events happening to you and not the other way round. Your choice is to be the silent and non-interfering witness to the whole of existence.
